Description
This Raspberry Pi Pico is equipped with an RP2040 chip and a CYW43439 wireless chip (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN). It has 2 cores with a clock speed of 133Mhz and an on-chip memory of 264kb. In addition, there is 2MB of flash memory available. The Raspberry Pi Pico has 30 GPIO pins. 4 of these pins are for analog input. There is also a DMA controller, 2 SPI controllers, 2 UARTs, 2 I2C controllers and 16 PWM channels. In short, a very versatile microcontroller.
The Pico W can be powered with a voltage between 1.8V and 5.5V.
The USB connection of the Raspberry Pi Pico W is a micro-USB 1.1 connection. Besides programming the Pico W, it can also be used as a USB host and as a USB device.
NOTE: This is not a regular Raspberry Pi and you cannot run Linux on it. This Pico is a microcontroller and executes Micropython code.
What is the difference between a Raspberry Pi Pico and a Raspberry Pi Pico W
The Raspberry Pi Pico W is identical to the Raspberry Pi Pico but has a CYW43439 wireless chip for WiFi and in the future also Bluetooth 5.2.
